Description
This course will present current information to students and enable them to make intelligent decisions concerning their physical, mental, and social well-being. The importance of positive personality and self-image is also stressed as a basis for sound health decisions. This course counts as an ELECTIVE toward an AA degree, NOT as an ACTIVITY COURSE.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Assess personal physical and mental health.
  • Identify key components to healthy relationships.
  • Identify key components to healthy sexuality.
  • Summarize the risks fo alcohol and tobacco use.
  • Identify key components to healthy nutrition, weight managment, and stress management, and formulate a personalized fitness for life plan.
  • Recognize common diseases, causes, and prevention strategies.
