Description
This activity course will emphasize the techniques and tools and practices of yoga. Yoga poses, stress management methods, the lifetime fitness value of yoga, and anatomy of the body will be explored.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Summarize the history of yoga and its correlation to modern day theory and practices.
  • Demonstrate safe and accurate yoga poses.
  • Correlate yoga movement with affected muscle groups.
  • Outline yoga techniques and practices in relation to stress management.
  • Explain the lifetime fitness value of yoga.
  • Design a customized yoga workout plan.
