Description
Learn the proper way to walk, enhancing and evaluating their own fitness level while developing a lifetime activity.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Demonstrate the proper mechanics of walking – measured by instructor observation and feedback.
  • Explain how walking can enhance aerobic fitness –measure by written exam.
  • Develop a personalized walking fitness program – measure by assignment.
  • Assess own fitness level – measured by using the Rockport Walking Test
