Description
Teaches the basic swimming strokes, water safety skills and proper pre-workout stretching for all swimmers, beginning to advanced. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Learn and practice proper pre-workout stretching techniques.
Acquire basic stroke development skills.
Acquire safety skills and knowledge to be safe in, on, and around the water.
Understand and describe the principles of setting up a personalized fitness program.
Calculate and monitore target heart rate, learn training zones and effects of each.
Caclculate and monitore caloric intakes.
Use these skills to further develop a healthy lifestyle.
Acquire the knowledge to develop a personal fitness philosophy.
Participate in a group recreation environment.
