Description
Tone Zone for Corrections & Law Enforcement (CLE) - A class designed specifically for those in the CLE program. Students will be expected to meet the same requirements listed in HPER 107, 108 & 109 and are required to pass the Corrections and Law Enforcement Physical Standards Testing. Prerequisite: Instructor permission. For students in their final quarter of completion of the CLE certificate program. Must also complete criminal background check and medical release. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate how to figure target heart rate and understand the importance of its use.
Recognize and experience positive changes as a result of exercise.
Understand that using proper exercise and stretching techniques can prevent injuries.
Understand that by designing individual workouts, desired results can be achieved.
Recognize that the benefits of exercise come from regular participation to maintain fitness and by increasing the workload progressively to improve fitness levels.
Develop an awareness that regular exercise is a lifestyle activity that contributes to general fitness, cardiovascular improvement, increased muscular strength and endurance, increase felxibility and a reduction of stress.
Meet the physical entry level standards for the CLE employment; timed run, pushups, sit ups.
