Description
Introduction to basic medical vocabulary. It provides the student a systematic approach to the language used in the health care system beginning with root words, prefixes and suffixes, and continuing on with the specific terms relating to normal and abnormal conditions of the body. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Identify root words found in medical language.
Combine appropriate use of prefixes and suffixes to root words.
Identify anatomical body structures, diseases, normal and abnormal conditions using correct medical terminology.
List correctly the abbreviations found in medical vocabulary.
