Description
Second of a three-quarter sequence that encourages students to use their language skills more actively and at a more sophisticated level than the first-year sequence, this course provides a review and expansion of French grammar, development of conversational skills, reading literary and cultural materials, and writing compositions. Prerequisite: FRCH 201 or instructor permission. Formerly FREN 202. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Converse in everyday French and expand the vocabulary
Appreciate the richness of French culture though documentaries and films.
Write French stories using different tenses.
Demonstrate advanced abilities in the four skills of listening, writing, speaking and reading.
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in communicating in interacting contexts.
Use the present tense and the past tense in conversations as well as writing.
