Description
Third quarter of a first-year college-level French course that provides students with the basic tools of vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation, along with opportunities to develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while being exposed to the richness and diversity of the French-speaking world. Prerequisite: FRCH& 122 or instructor permission. Formerly FREN 103, French III.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Identify the present, past tense and future tense of regular and irregular verbs.
  • Acquire a vocabulary of at least 4,000 words.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in communicating in interactive contexts.
  • Demonstrate ability in the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
  • Appreciate the richness of the French language and Francophone culture.
  • Translate complex French stories.
