Description
Introduction to advanced applications of computer aided drafting and design of three-dimensional graphics and engineering drawings using Civil 3D software. Course includes the production of engineering graphics and documents. Formerly CET 152. Prerequisite: ENT 121 or instructor permission.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Demonstrate ability to make and insert ANSI borders.
  • Apply knowledge to draft orthographic drawings and views.
  • Demonstrate ability to apply 3-D techniques to 2-D models.
  • Apply knowledge to draft photorealistic renderings.
  • Develop multi-view drawings utilizing paper space layout.
  • Apply knowledge to customize AutoCAD linetypes.
  • Demonstrate ability to evaluate problems using AutoCAD.
  • Develop topographical maps using survey data.
  • Construct surface and digital terrain models.
  • Produce cross sections from surface models.
  • Construct vertical and horizontal curves.
  • Produce earthwork data.
