Examines selected films with emphasis on story, character, and criticism. Formerly LIT 144. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Describe the major film genres, eras and themes.
Explain and follow the typical process of film construction and completion.
Recount the development of major events in film history.
Identify and describe the major artistic elements of film: Direction, acting, mis-en-scene and narrative.
Analyze, interpret and evaluate selected film classics as technical, commercial and artistic projects.
