Critical Thinking: Discuss, explore, and critically respond to a wide variety of literary pieces drawn from various cultures and historic times
Critical Thinking: Evaluation and discussion of literary works
Communication: Improved ability to read aloud and appreciation of language
Communication: Production of unified, coherent essays which appropriately cite from the text under consideration
Lifelong learning: Develop a strong foundation in literary appreciation in order to continue exploration of literature on their own in the future
