Description
Direct students in acting in assigned scenes. The student will also assist the instructor in directing assigned scenes in the current production. Formerly THEA 271. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the principles, terminology and tools of standard theatrical directing.
Ability to analyze and interpret textual material in terms of dramatic action.
Ability to analyze and interpret textual material in terms of design elements.
Apply basic directorial skills to auditions, production meetings and rehearsals.
Ability to run the backstage operation of an actual live theatrical performance.
Demonstrate effective oversight of, as well as cooperation with, all other elements of a given production.
