Description
Basic skills used in costuming theatrical productions: sewing, serging, simple construction. Student may also serve on costume crew for a production. Prerequisite: Instructor permission. Formerly THEA 220. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the principles, terminology and tools of standard theatrical costume design.
Ability to interpret theatrical texts as they relate to costume considerations.
Ability to use research tools in the development of specific design choices.
Articulate well developed arguments/reasons for specific design choices.
Draw useful renderings of theatrical costumes.
Work in cooperation with the other designers/design elements of a given production.
