Learn rudiments of set design using current production as lab situation. Prerequisite: Instructor permission. Formerly THEA 215. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the principles, terminology and tools of standard theatrical scenic design.
Ability to interpret theatrical texts as they relate to scenic considerations.
Ability to use research tools in the development of specific design choices.
Articulate well developed arguments/reasons for specific design choices.
Draw useful ground plans, elevations and perspective renderings of theatrical sets.
Build a scale model of a unit set.
Work in cooperation with the other designers/design elements of a given production.
