Designed to train students in the dramatic techniques appropriate to large stage, outdoor musical productions. Formerly THEA 154. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate greater creativity in outward verbal and non-verbal expression (including singing and dancing as your character demands).
Demonstrate improved ability to perform given acting skills in the production of a live performance.
Demonstrate improved understanding of the given “tools/materials” used in the production of a live performance.
Demonstrate an appreciation for the issues of responsibility/discipline necessary to create a successful live performance no matter what element each individual is responsible for.
Demonstrate people skills necessary for effective ensemble work (teamwork) to occur.
Exhibit less self-consciousness and greater self-confidence in live performance tasks.
Demonstrate an ability to analyze and interpret textual material for performance.
Demonstrate improvement in controlling personal “tendencies/habits” while developing proper techniques of vocal and physical expression necessary for live performance.
Develop continuing respect and appreciation for the differing talents and abilities of other performers.
