Description
Introduction to acting techniques and beginning characterization through improvisation. Student required to furnish personal rehearsal clothes. Formerly THEA 151. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate greater creativity in outward verbal and non-verbal expression.
Exhibit less self-consciousness and greater self-confidence in live performance tasks.
Demonstrate a rudimentary knowledge of standard terminology of the acting profession.
Demonstrate improvement in controlling personal “tendencies/habits” while developing proper techniques of vocal and physical expression necessary for live performance.
Analyze and discuss the performances of others in objective ways.
Develop continuing respect and appreciation for the differing talents and abilities of other performers.
