Description
 Introduction to acting techniques and beginning characterization through improvisation. Student required to furnish personal rehearsal clothes. Formerly THEA 151.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Demonstrate greater creativity in outward verbal and non-verbal expression.
  • Exhibit less self-consciousness and greater self-confidence in live performance tasks.
  • Demonstrate a rudimentary knowledge of standard terminology of the acting profession.
  • Demonstrate improvement in controlling personal “tendencies/habits” while developing proper techniques of vocal and physical expression necessary for live performance.
  • Analyze and discuss the performances of others in objective ways.
  • Develop continuing respect and appreciation for the differing talents and abilities of other performers.
