Learn different western line dances (done without a partner) and western swing (with a partner). |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate knowledge and ability to perform western line dances (done without a partner) and western swing (with a partner).
Demonstrate the basic skills necessary to perform the activity in which they have enrolled. (measured by skills assessment)
Develop a working knowledge of the rules, etiquette, basic strategies and appropriate behaviors associated with the activity. (measured as part of a written test)
Assess their own fitness level as it relates to the demands of that particular activity. (measured as part of written test)
Improve fitness level through participation in activity. Encourage participation in that activity outside of normal class time. (measured by attendance)
Explain the physical and social values associated with activity participation. (measured as part of a written test)
Value physical activity and its contributions to a healthful lifestyle (measured by written test)
