Description
Provides the necessary knowledge and skills to facilitate BLS training adhering to the standards of the American Heart Association. The student must possess a current AHA Healthcare Provider card to enroll.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Effectively facilitate didactic material and perform BLS skills.
  • Identify and correct inadequate CPR performance
  • Discuss principles of remedial and psychomotor learning.
  • Verbalize an understanding of records management for AHA.
  • Discuss use and maintenance of mannequins, AED's, airway adjuncts, and related supplies.
