Description
Fundamental principles of the mechanics of rigid bodies will be explored. Topics include forces in a plane, forces in space, statics of rigid bodies, rigid bodies in three dimensions, centroids, friction and Moments of Inertia. Prerequisite: OCSUP 108, MATH 142 or 151 or instructor permission. Student may not earn credit for both CET 220 and ENGR& 214. |

Understanding of two-force and three-force members.
Knowledge of coplanar and concurrent vectors.
Solve problems involving friction.
Calculate centers of gravity.
