Introduction to specific fields of engineering including electrical and mechanical with an emphasis on civil engineering. Also presents ethics, computer applications, and professional registration requirements. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Knowledge of different fields of engineering.
Knowledge of engineering ethics.
Set up problems using engineering formats and problem solving techniques.
Understanding of professional registration for engineers and surveyors.
Understanding of the difference between vertical and horizontal construction.
Understanding of the SI and gravitational system of measurements and units.
Knowledge of GPS survey equipment.
