Description
Provides an in-depth understanding of the principles and practices of using the Internet to market goods and services. Includes ethical, social, cultural, and legal issues surrounding eMarketing. Students will have an opportunity to develop and present a comprehensive eMarketing plan for a business. Prerequisite: BUS 210 or BUS 212.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Understand and explain the historical development of marketing on the web including various websites, social media, social networking sites, blogging, wikis, mash-ups, virtual worlds and other emerging eMarketing technologies.
  • Summarize how eMarketing and technology trends are impacting business.
  • Contrast eMarketing campaigns with traditional advertising campaigns discussing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Analyze and critique various web site designs in the context of appropriate use of eMarketing techniques.
  • Evaluate methods of measuring success and effectiveness of eMarketing strategies, including traffic analysis, electronic media, and branding.
  • Design a comprehensive eMarketing plan that addresses the content covered in class.
