Description
Introduction to precision agriculture application on the farm using industry specific software. Entering records, creating databases and developing field maps will be included as well as gathering and inputting yield and soils data. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Define precision agriculture
Understand applications and software functions of mapping programs
Demonstrate the use of field equipment
Acquire and input agricultural data into software applications
Develop maps of property parcels
Input soils, yield and terrain information into maps
Track animal production
Demonstrate ability to use data to develop farm management and asset mapping strategies
