Description
Designed to meet OSHA requirements for lift truck operator training and certification. Safe lifting and moving of loads will be discussed, demonstrated, and practiced. Complete the driving test and IVES with a minimum of 70% to earn certificate.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Explain the regulations for motorized lift truck operation.
  • Identify the various types of powered industrial trucks and counterbalanced forklifts.
  • Evaluate the safety limits of various forklifts and configurations, including fulcrum point, center of gravity
  • Describe the safe operation of a forklift from pre-use inspection to parking and shutting down.
  • Identify the power sources for various forklifts and explain procedures for safe handling.
  • Complete industry certification in the safe operation of motorized lift trucks.
