2005 Warrior Dance Team

 

Charity Dundas

Sophomore … Kamiakin High School

Team Captain

Charity is a second year member and captain of the Warrior Dance Team. She attended the National Collegiate Dance Team Championships in Las Vegas last year where the Warrior Dance Team Placed 2nd. Charity graduated from Kamiakin High School in 2005 where she was a member of their Pom Squad for four years and placed 2nd at state in 2004 and 1st in 2005. She served as team captain for 3 years and received numerous awards at UDA summer camp including “All Star,” 1st in Drill Downs and 1st place routines two years in a row. She was also a member of the Eastern Washington Elite Senior Dance Team for two years and placed 3rd in both jazz and hip hop at UDA Nationals in 2004.  Charity plans on completing her AA degree here at WWCC, and transfer to a University where she can continue to Dance.

 

 

Linsze Watson

Sophomore ... Walla Walla HS

Team Captain

Linsze moved here four years ago from San Diego, CA. With one year left for her Associates degree, she plans to transfer to Whitman or Washington State to pursue a Bachelors degree in Psychology. She is a dedicated student and dancer; she was on the President’s list for Fall and Winter quarter of 2005-2006 and was a member of the Warrior Dance Team when they placed 2nd at the National Collegiate Dance Team Championships in Las Vegas last year.

 
 

Shawna Barnes

Sophomore ... Touchet HS

Shawna is a graduate of Touchet High School and has four years of cheerleading and gymnastics experience. She was a member of the Warrior Dance Team in 2005 when they placed 3rd at Nationals and also in 2006 when they placed 2nd.. In cheerleading, she has won a flyer award, two 'most inspirational' awards, and three captain awards. After graduating from WWCC, she plans on transferring to Eastern Washington University where she will study elementary education. Shawna teaches dance and tumbling classes at the M&M Gymnastics Center in Walla Walla and coaches the Touchet High School Cheer Team.

 
 

Jackie Delo

Sophomore … West Valley High School

Jackie Graduated from West Valley High School in Yakima, WA in 2005 where she was a member of the Sports Medicine State Team for 3 years, Soccer Team for 3 years, Track Team for 4 years, and Dance Team for 3 years. She was also a third year member of the Athletic Training/Sports Medicine Club where she served as Secretary her Junior year and President her Senior year. She served as Captain her Senior year for Dance Team and was a member of the Yakima Valley Athletic Training Student Council who is made out of 15 Students from 7 cities. Her Senior year, she joined the Eastern Washington Elite Dance Team where she attended Nationals in 2005 and place 4th in the Pom Division. After graduating from WWCC, she will attend either UCLA or Hawaii Pacific University. Her ultimate goal is to become a Physicians Assistant.

 
 

Heather King
Sophomore … Kiona Benton

Heather has 7 years of training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, cheer and technique classes from the Tri-Cities Academy of Ballet, Ballet Arts and Elite Cheer and Dance Center. She was on the 2004-2005 Eastern Washington Elite Senior Prep team. During her year on the Elite team, her team received first place at camp for their Pom routine, third place in the “Best in the Northwest” competition, and performed at a Seattle Supersonics Basketball game. Her team placed 4th in the Pom category at UDA’s Dance Team National Championships. Heather plans to complete her AA degree and transfer to a 4-year college to complete a degree in business.

 
 

Ashley Georgia
Freshman … Walla Walla HS

Ashley is a first year member of the Warrior Dance Team. She graduated from Walla Walla High School where she was a member of the Blue Devil Dance Team for two years and won the State Dance Team Championship in 2004 and 2005. She was also a member of the Eastern Washington Elite Dance Team for two years and placed 4th in Pom in 2005, 3rd in Hip Hop in 2006 and first in Jazz at the 2006 UDA National Dance Team Championships. Ashley is a member of the Eastern Washington Elite College Hip Hop team. She plans to complete her Associates Degree here at WWCC and transfer to Hawaii Pacific University or Washington State University where she will continue to Dance.

 

 

Kelsi Skinner

Freshman ... West Valley HS

Kelsi is a first year member of the Warrior Dance Team. She has been dancing for 15 years. Kelsi has been on several competition teams including the Eastern Washington Elite Dance Team. She has training in jazz, hip hop, ballet, tap, pom and lyrical. In 2003-2004, she was a member of the West Valley High School Dance team and in 2005-2006, she was a member of the cheer team. Kelsi plans to complete her pre-requisites for dental hygiene school.

 

 

Nicole Gonzales

Freshman ... Walla Walla HS

Nicole is a first year member of the Warrior Dance Team. For formal dance training includes jazz, ballet, hip hip and Latin. Upon completion of her Associates degree, she plans to transfer to a four year University to complete her Bachelors degree.

 

 

Rachelle Olson

Freshman ... Okanogan HS

Rachelle is a graduate of Okanogan High School with a 3.6 GPA. She was a member of her high school cheer squad for three years where she served as co-captain her senior year. She has training in ballet, jazz and hip-hop from LFW School of Dance in Omak, WA where she also worked as an assistant teacher for children's ballet and jazz musical theatre. She plans totransfer from WWCC with her AAS in criminal justice to a four year university and major in psychology with the intentions of becoming a criminal psychologist.
 

 

Liberty Streeter

Freshman ... Mt. View HS

Liberty (Libby) Streeter is a 2006 – 2007 Freshman from Bend , Oregon. Libby has been dancing since she was 4-years old, starting at Reynolds/Day Dance center in Walla Walla under the direction of Nancy Wells. After moving to Bend at the age of 12, Libby started dancing at Terpsichorean Dance Studios in Bend where she was able to branch out and become proficient at Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern, Classical Ballet and Lyrical. Libby has attended various workshops around the Northwest including LA Dance Force, “The Edge Studio” in LA and special workshops put on by the Junior Blazer coaches. Libby attended Mt. View High School in Bend , where she is a 2006 graduate. In High School, she danced on the Mountain View Dance team for three years, earning the “Best Overall Dancer” award her senior year. She was also a co-captain of the team her senior year. Libby is excited to be returning to Walla Walla and is especially excited to be dancing on the Walla Walla Community College Dance Team.
