Commercial Truck Driving
Truck drivers are a constant presence on the nation's highways and interstates, delivering three out of every four tons of goods shipped in the country. Firms of all kinds rely on trucks for pickup and delivery of goods because no other form of transportation can deliver goods door to door. Even if goods travel in part by ship, train, or airplane, trucks carry nearly all goods at some point in their journey from producer to consumer. This trend, combined with increased pay and benefit packages provided by motor carrier employers has led to the strong demand for commercial truck drivers.
