The Women's Studies department offers students an opportunity to learn about the past and present achievements and experiences of women and to understand more clearly the decisive role that gender has played and continues to play in human societies. Women's Studies is an interdisciplinary program which provides a frame of reference for understanding the contemporary and historical experience, roles, and contributions of both women and men.
