These documents provide scholarship resources and information for Washington four-year college and universities, private and local scholarships, and information on how to complete scholarship applications and personal statements. This information is current as of January and is provided by the WWCC SSS/TRIO program.

 

Students attending Walla Walla Community College may receive financial assistance for their education in the form of loans, scholarships, employment, and work-study programs on campus. A variety of scholarships are available to Walla Walla Community College students. Sources range from private corporations, the WWCC Foundation, special endowments, individual donors, and other foundations. Awards are based on academic performance, potential to benefit, and in some cases, financial need. Many scholarships are designed for students in specific fields of study.

This scholarship page describes the scholarship application process. If you want to apply for any of the following scholarships, you must first have applied for admission to Walla Walla Community College.

Scholarship Application Form

 

These scholarships are based primarily on academic excellence and have a variety of fund sources. You must apply for admission to Walla Walla Community College, have all transcripts on file in the Admissions Office and complete the Scholarship Application Form before being considered for these scholarships. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 is recommended before applying for many of the scholarships. Some scholarships require a 2.5 GPA. The application due date for all scholarships, except the WWCC Merit-Based Scholarship and the Jon Lynch Scholarship, is April 15.

Cosmetology Scholarship for New Students
This scholarship provides for one or more students interested in pursuing a career in the Cosmetology Profession. Awards will vary depending on available funds. Scholarships open to any cosmetology first quarter student, male or female. Must be a graduate from high school or junior status with a minimum of 2.5 GPA. It is not necessary to be a resident of the State of Washington. Must be a full-time cosmetology degree track student (22 credits +). Scholarship must be used at Walla Walla Community College.
