Phone Conference, Blackboard Collaborate, and ITV

Walla Walla Community College provides several methods for staff to conduct or attend classes or meetings at remote locations using technology that eliminates the need to travel to remote locations. This saves time and travel expenses. Examples of how one might use these technologies included:

  • Teaching a class to another Walla Walla Community College location such as to or from the Clarkston Center
  • Attending a Walla Walla Community College meeting from a remote Walla Walla Community College site such as the Clarkston Center
  • Attending a state-wide meeting held in Olympia where the meeting's organizer has agreed to use technology to allow attendees from remote locations to attend electronically

There are three basic technologies one can use to attend/conduct classes and meetings:

The maps of the Walla Walla Community College rooms show which are equipped to support CONFERENCE PHONES (conference rooms) and ITV meetings or classes (see the maps). Blackboard Collaborate can be used from any computer. It is what some call a webinar technology.

If you have any questions about arranging for the use of any of these technologies, please contact the Walla Walla Community College Technology Services Help Desk at [email protected] or at (509) 527-4357 (HELP on your phone dial)
