Common Course Numbering (CCN) is a new project that establishes commonly shared courses with the same course number and title among Washington community and technical colleges.

Starting summer quarter 2009, initially 360 courses will have new numbers or titles because of CCN. There will be over 100 courses that are identified as common. They will be indicated by an ampersand “&” following the department code (ENGL&). The remaining 260 courses are adapting new department codes (ENG to ENGL). They will be indicated by a diamond “♦” preceding the department code. Previous course numbers and/or titles are still applicable, and their transferability is not affected.

If you have taken classes at WWCC before summer 2009, you will want to know this information to make sure you take the correct classes. We've provided a Course Crosswalk List so you can look up any classes that may have changed.
