Mailing List Information
The mail list process is a program that distributes email messages to subscribers of topic-oriented mailing lists or email groups. Each list consists of individuals who share a common business function and a mail list simplifies communication with all those individuals.
There are two different types of mailing lists on our server
- System Mailing Lists, which are managed on the server and unavailable to subscribers. These lists are designed for on site use.
An example would be email@example.com. It is only used for email sent to and from those on campus.
- Custom Mailing Lists reflect a department or group and are managed by individuals.
