Student KIOSK Troubleshooting
Some of you may be having trouble accessing the Online Student KIOSK due to WWCC's 128-bit encryption certificate we installed for Spring Quarter, 2002. This higher-security certificate was installed to protect both students and staff. However, not all browsers are compatible with 128-bit encryption. You may not be able to access the Student KIOSK. (The KIOSK is needed to register for classes, etc.) Below are a couple of things you can do to correct this problem.
128-Bit Encrytion Check
Check to see if your current browser version is 128-bit compatible. To do this select "Help" from the top menu bar, then select "About Internet Explorer". The window that pops up should give you information like what browser version it is and what Cipher Strength (encryption) it uses.
Upgrade Internet Explorer
Use this page to update Internet Explorer to 128-bit encryption strength. This is a good idea no matter what you're doing!
For anyone who uses windows, this should be a page that visit all the time! The windows update website will keep your windows machine secure, compatible, and up to date.
Please Note:The Degree Audit (Degree Works) is not available off campus.
